Arsenal Stadium Mystery, The (DVD)
Amateur football team The Trojans are about to face their toughest challenge yet - a charity match at Arsenal in front of a capacity crowd at Highbury Stadium. During the match, the Trojan's star player - John Doyce (Anthony Bushell) - collapses and is pulled to the sidelines. He is dead and it is determined that he has been poisoned. Dyce was a recent addition to the Trojans and his abrasive attitude had not gained him many friends, so there is both motive and suspects in abundance. Scotland Yard send in the eccentric Inspector Slade (Leslie Banks) to get to the bottom of things and catch the culprit - and he has three days in which do it before it begins to interfere with his theatre performance! Among those starring in the film are Arsenal's 1938 Championship side and their manager George Allison.
