Saints And Soldiers
In December 1944, as the German Army advances through Belgium's Ardennes Forest, over one hundred American soldiers are taken prisoner and held captive in a snow-covered field. In a brief moment of panic, the German soldiers open fire on the unarmed prisoners, resulting in a tragic historical event that would come to be known as the Malmedy Massacre. Amidst the confusion, a handful of men manage to escape the carnage. Hiding out in the nearby woods, the survivors stumble across a lone, stranded British Intelligence officer who is in possession of information that could change the course of the war in the Allies' favour. With few weapons, no food and hindered by both the unforgiving cold and a serious clash of personalities, this small band of heroes must fight their way back toward the frontline and across to occupied Allied territory in order to deliver their valuable charge. But as their journey takes its toll, loyalties become divided and lives are placed perilously at risk.
